We also compare your result with what you would have got by investing the same money in the S&P 500 index, a common benchmark for the US market, to put your investment in context.
The simulation is based on the change in share price and does not include dividends, fees or taxes, so the real return could differ. Prices come from public market data and may have slight lags.
A stock that rose a lot in the past will not necessarily repeat it. That is why it is worth analysing the current strength of each company before investing.
